The species stems from an area with an average temperature of circa 25 degree Celsius and an average precipitation amount of circa 900 millimetres. Night frost is rare. During winter, I've had good results with temperatures around 10 degree Celsius and completely dry substrate. They can be abundantly watered during the growing period. A semi-shady or sunny spot is favourable, although constant blazing sun should be avoided.
