Typus:    O. Ferrari s.n., Argentina

description:    The shape possesses less intensely considerable chin humps. The plants got a dark greenish red body color. The thorns with the dark base and the large woolly areoles are an additional attribute of destinction. The flowers appear near the vertex and are 70mm in length and 60mm in diameter. Seed group: Gymnocalycium.
